Step 1: Create an Instagram Quick Reply

To set up quick replies, the first thing you have to do is to log in to your Instagram business profile. In the top right corner, tap on the three-line button and go to Settings from the slide-out menu.  

On the next screen, go to the Business option and then tap on Quick Replies. You’ll see a blank page and plus sign (+) that provides you the option to create one.  

Tap on the plus button to start setting up your quick replies. What you’re going to do next is to type in the text you want to save as your quick reply. You could say something like, “We’re open on Mondays to Saturdays from 10:00 to 7:00 pm.”

Step 2: Use an Existing Message as a Quick Reply

If you’ve responded to frequently asked questions before, you can save these messages and use them as quick replies in your Instagram DM.  

To set up your existing message as a quick reply, all you have to do is go into that DM thread, tap and hold the message, wait for a little pop-up screen to appear, and then click on the Save Quick Reply option.  

Instagram will then save this text into a new quick reply. If you want, you can edit your message. While you're doing that, don't forget to assign a keyword for it! Then click Save.  

Step 3: Manage Quick Reply to Respond to a DM

Now that you’ve finished setting up your quick replies, it’s time to teach you how to use them to respond to DMs.  

To use a quick reply, you need to open a message where a user has asked you a frequently asked question. In the reply box, type in the keyword that you’ve created as a shortcut.  

You will then see a little comment bubble with three dots. Click on it, and Instagram will automatically generate your pre-saved message into the DM. Before hitting send, you can personalize it or update the information within it.  

Step 4: Edit or Delete Quick Replies

Once you have successfully set up your Instagram quick replies, you now have the option to edit or delete them.

To do this, you’ll need to go to the Quick Replies tab in your settings. Then, tap on the text you want to edit. After this, you’ll see an Edit Quick Reply. You can then edit your message.

If you wish to delete it completely, you’ll see a Delete Quick Reply button in red on the bottom of your screen.
