One Shot Retrievers

The Problem
One Shot Retrievers needed organic visibility for a business serving two distinct audiences: hunters seeking advanced retriever and gun dog training, and everyday pet owners seeking obedience, leash, and puppy training. Operating from a rural East Texas facility outside Tyler added another layer, since local search volume in the immediate area is naturally limited, and most prospective clients search their exact concern long before they search a location.

A Deeper Dive
The business needed to reach two genuinely distinct audiences — hunters seeking advanced gun dog training and everyday pet owners seeking basic obedience — each searching very different terms.
Operating from a rural East Texas facility outside Tyler meant local search volume in the immediate area was naturally limited.
Dog training is a fragmented search category, with prospective clients searching for very specific questions — puppy imprinting, AKC hunt test preparation, snake avoidance — long before they search for a location, meaning service pages could only be found by people who already knew which program they wanted.
The Solution
The Digital Resource team built content that addressed each audience's specific questions separately, linked every article to its matching program, and covered niche specialty offerings competitors weren't targeting — capturing search demand across both distinct audiences that service pages alone couldn't reach.

Implementation
We built content addressing the specific questions each segment searches, spanning basic and advanced obedience, puppy imprinting, gun dog development, field trial preparation, and boarding.
We linked each article to its matching program — obedience articles to the All Breed Obedience programs, gun dog and hunting content to the Basic and Advanced Gun Dog and Field Trial programs, and puppy posts to the Puppy Imprinting Program and Puppy Head Start.
We built specialized content covering niche offerings like the annual snake-avoidance clinic and AKC training, capturing search demand that's too specific for competitors to target.
